How to take a clearer prescription photo
A clear, complete photo gives the tool a better view of the visible text, but it cannot guarantee a correct reading of handwriting.
Before taking the photo
Place the paper on a flat surface and gently unfold it. Use even light without direct glare or shadows across the writing.
Keep the camera parallel to the page and steady while it focuses. Include the full page and every line in the frame.
Check the image
Open the image and zoom in to check that names and numbers are legible and that no text is blurred or cropped. Retake it if fingers or shadows cover any part.
Avoid strong filters or edits that could change the appearance of letters and numbers. Upload the original photo.
If text is still unclear
Try more even light or a less reflective angle. Do not guess missing words from context; ask a pharmacist or prescriber about an uncertain medicine name or instruction.
